NIYAMA, Per AQUUM’s young and vibrant luxury Maldives resort, just added a whole new island to its facilities making for twice the fun. Choose between "chilling" and "playing" with the addition of these fantastic new facilities to NIYAMA’s existing award-winning offerings.
The Original Island – “Chill”
NIYAMA is known to be one of the most innovative and unique luxury Maldives resorts. Perhaps appealing more to a cooler demographic of party-goers and trend-setters, the resort has set itself apart as one of the funkier resorts in the Maldives.
The LIME Spa will relax your senses and re-centre your body with a mix of treatments whilst your look out over a view of the lagoon. Bespoke massages, signature treatments all using products made with local, natural ingredients. In order to enhance your chill time before or after your treatments, you can unwind in the SubLIME area of the spa which has an outside seating area with tranquillity-inspiring plants and lime tree, a sauna, steam room and pools. There is even a facility to help you relax, unwind and settle into sleep if you’re suffering from jet-lag!
Chill in the daytime by the pool at Epicure – a relaxing, youthful dining hub. Or, head towards Edge, the overwater dining experience that is only accessible by boat from NIYAMA’s mainland which is 600 metres away! This is a particularly tranquil place to dine in the evening, as you look out over the rippling waves with Edge’s ambience lighting glinting in your eye.

If you did want to submerge yourself into some nightlife entertainment, you can head downstairs beneath Edge to Subsix – a playground 6 metres underwater that comes to life at night with large windows looking into the world of the marine wildlife swimming by.

The New Island – “Play”
There are four main new features to NIYAMA’s new island.
BLU is an all-day restaurant for family-friendly dining. With a view overlooking the turquoise glimmers of the India Ocean open waters, complemented by the cool, cobalt blue pool. Lounge by day and dine of casual, yet high quality food at BLU.

EXPLORERS is the new children’s club designed to excite the imaginations of NIYAMA’s younger guests. Operated by renowned educators and carers, EXPLORERS offers a range of activities geared to children of all ages. There is a high ratio of carers to children, meaning that your kids will be given the attention they need.
New accommodation on “Play” island caters well for family travel – which is perfect for kids who want to go to the EXPLORERS children’s club! With a mix of indoor and outdoor living, these new accommodation options are also fantastic for groups and couples looking for more space.
NEST is a gourmet wonderland of Asian-inspired dishes. Experience these specialities in the midst of a breathtaking multi-level treetop setting. Dine in a spectacular private pod suspended six metres above terra firma or in a domed pavilion nestled in beside the branches. The design encapsulates the best of modern that perfectly complements the entrancing Banyan Trees and refreshing nature in the heart of the jungle. Choose from a menu with options from Thai to Teppanyaki with fresh, seasonal produce from the Chef’s own island garden.
