Luxury Resorts in Abu Dhabi with Only Exclusive Travel

Close your eyes and imagine a timeless Arabian desert with bedouins riding their heavily laden camels whilst wearing long white Emirati gowns and headdresses. Now imagine sky-scrapers in a super-city with world class tourist attractions and extravagant architecture. Merge the two together, and there you have it: Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi, literally translating to ‘father of deer’, is the capital and the second largest city in the United Arab Emirates. It has now emerged as one of the country's best-value tourist destinations, and has been given the Traveller’s Choice 2014 award; even as soon as you set foot in Abu Dhabi airport, you’ll be struck with awe. Much of what exists in the city was not in there a mere 50 years ago; tourism has been promoted speedily, and its booming industries have been developed fast. One of its most world-renowned, and downright magnificent, landmarks is the breathtakingly sublime Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque. Tranquil, peaceful, and utterly remarkable, the mosque is bejewelled with rare gemstones, memory of pearl, precious metals and has an enigmatically spiritual atmosphere. It is arguably the most imperative tourist attraction in Abu Dhabi.

The locals carry an air of alluring swagger; driving the fastest cars, wearing the most glamorous designer shoes and dining in the most lavish restaurants would be enough to spoil anyone, yet somehow they retain their friendliness. The local women, shrouded in floor-length black abayas prove that you don’t need to bare skin to flaunt utter elegance and voluptuousness. Although PDAs (Public Displays of Affection) and risqué clothing are frowned upon, you are free to wear your bikini on the beach and your pretty frock when visiting one of the opulent restaurant bars in the area.

Abu Dhabi also loves its sports. Owning Manchester City Football club, Sheikh Mansour has ensured that there is something of a football culture in the city. Celebrating formula one racing, Abu Dhabi has it's own racing track, as well as a luxury car theme park: Ferrari World.

Experience quintessential Arabian splendour at the luxury St. Regis Saadiyat Island resort in Abu Dhabi. We have recently added to our Abu Dhabi portfolio: take a look at Qasr Al Sarab and Emirates Palace for an intoxicating taste of the Middle Eastern travel scene.

Weather

Abu Dhabi is a desert city (need we say more?), and so naturally, the temperatures can reach scorching figures, and never really plummet down further than 12 degrees celsius at its extreme coldest. With temperatures sometimes reaching a sweltering 42-50 degrees celsius, you'll appreciate the top end pool facilities in the area, as well as all the indoor attractions which are always air-conditioned - without fail. Rainfall is scarce, although sometimes slight winds can be carried from the desert plains offering a welcome respite of cooling air. Sometimes though, sands can be carried.

Activities

Abu Dhabi does not like to be outdone, and so consequently, it is home to the biggest, best and most impressive activity facilities in the world. It is impossible to be bored in Abu Dhabi; feast your eyes upon a colour-drenched market, slick and opulent shopping malls, cinemas, waterparks, desert entertainment, beaches, restaurants and bars. We won't blame you if you never want to leave.

Beaches

Beaches

Abu Dhabi has a hot desert climate; albeit, some would find it too hot, and would prefer to take shelter in the fantastic indoor amenities available, sun-worshippers however, find the climate a deep-tan rewarding dare. The glorious golden beaches facilitate such a challenge, offering a great natural sunbed and a pleasant break from the concrete-glass jungle of skyscrapers in the city. Often adorning these beaches are cushioned couches with an accompanying shisha pipe and waiter service. For the less relaxation-inclined, watersports facilities are usually available when you're having a beach day in Abu Dhabi.

Countryside & Wildlife

Countryside & Wildlife

When one thinks of the desert, images of camels, alpacas and huge beetles flood the imagination. You can visit wildlife parks, ride camels and take photos of all the other wildlife, but rest assured, Abu Dhabi resorts are well adept at keeping unwanted pests away. There are about twenty public parks in Abu Dhabi, many of them are found close to the Abu Dhabi Corniche road and the public beaches. Ride a Jeep in the Arabian Wildlife park and get close to nature.

Golf

Golf

With fabulous courses carved out of the desert and along spectacular coastlines, a diversity of golfing experiences in Abu Dhabi is to be expected. Whether it’s championship-ready parkland, ocean or Links facilities, a gentle urban centre course, the sheer uniqueness of a world-class ‘sand’ course, or an attempt at the emirate’s longest-hole on a country facility, Abu Dhabi has got compelling choices for you.

Helicopter Tours

Helicopter Tours

Get a bird's eye view of the capital's landmarks and heritage sites or experience the majestic Liwa Desert with a helicopter sightseeing tour. Enjoy the magnificence of Abu Dhabi from as high as the sky-scrapers themselves, and higher.

Camel Riding

Camel Riding

Live like Arabian royalty and ride around the desert on camel-back whilst wearing colourful silks and embossed sandals. It's everyone's dream, right? Camel Riding in Abu Dhabi is readily available, and usually take place in the desert whilst you have an escort navigating you around.

Nightlife

Nightlife

In contrast to what its name suggests, a desert safari trip is not a spectacle of desert wildlife, but one of the most entertaining nights out in Abu Dhabi. Dune Bashing, which involves daring the desert plains in a 4 x 4, will make your belly somersault before arriving at the camp where you can try your hand at camel riding, bell-dancing, gorging on traditional UAE barbeque buffets, star-gazing, sand-boarding, moonlight shisha-smoking and other traditional entertainments. Going on a Desert Safari is a must for experiencing a slice of authentic Abu Dhabi. Many of the bars in the area host Ladies' Nights, often offering free manicures and drinks for women!

Shopping

Shopping

For the most exclusive VIP shopping experience, head over to the Avenue at Etihad Towers to choose your haute-couture outfit from any of the multiple high-end designer stores at the luxury shopping outlet. Similar opulence can be found at The Galleria on Al Marayah Island in Abu Dhabi. If you're looking for something a little more authentic, there is a wealth of souk-like outlets offering colourful and intricate trinkets, clothing, memoribilia, spices, tailor-made perfumes and much more.

Amusement Parks

Amusement Parks

Yas Waterworld is a Pirate jungle of a waterpark. The spectacular rides are situated all around the vast site, making it an exciting quest to explore the route to your next adventure. With fast food hubs situated around the area, water guns, roller-coasters, a wave pool, souvenir shop and much much more. It is a fantastic family day out in Abu Dhabi... Ahoy! Or, for those who like automobile entertainment, Abu Dhabi has Ferrari World! This tourist destination is unique; with a roof shaped like the side profile of a Ferrari, and the largest Ferrari logo in the world.
