Only Exclusive Luxury Resorts in Dubai

Dubai lives and breathes pure luxury. It is a city of superlatives, known for the fastest, biggest, tallest, largest and highest. Home to the tallest building in the world, the Berj Khalifa, the highest and fastest waterslide outside of North America, the world’s biggest shopping mall and the world’s only seven star hotel, The Burj Al Arab, it is plain for all to see that Dubai does the best, and only the best.

In its fast development boom, Dubai has become a cosmopolitan metropolis and the ultimate tourist destination in the Middle East. The Arabian delights of Dubai, long sandy beaches reaching down to the lukewarm waters of the Arabian Gulf, glitzy shopping malls and authentic souks, championship golf courses, spectacular desert and mountain landscapes - It is a place of striking contrasts where modern sophistication meets in a fascinating blend of old and new.

With a long history as a trading hub for pearls, today Dubai is a known shopping destination. Visit Dubai’s spectacular shopping mall (the largest in the world, no kidding) with a gigantic water feature with flying diving stone figures, an ice rink and an extensive food court. Paying homage to the ancient trade, the mall has sensational, glowing gold jewellery stores that will make you feel like you discovered a timeless treasure trove. The mall is adjacent to the large Dubai Aquarium and even shares a glass tank wall for you to gaze at the spectacular sharks and other magical marine wildlife. This mall is ranked the world’s second most popular destination for shopping after the United States and ahead of other shopping capitals. Try memorable pursuits such as indoor skiing (yes, skiing in the United Arab Emirates... who would have thought?), or take a water taxi across the Dubai Creek in the old town. Or venture into the middle of the desert to stay in an exotic sand-surrounded villa at the Al Mahar Desert resort.

Visit the most famous landmarks in Dubai, such as The Palm Jumeira and the Palm Jebel Ali that decorate the coastline. The One&Only The Palm Hotel is on the man-made Atlantis Island at the Palm Islands; a truly unique holiday destination in Dubai. The most famous of all, The Berj Khalifa, is a magnificent tower looming over the clouds. It is so tall it is hard to take a photo of someone that shows the extent of its magnitude; we know... we’ve tried! The building is home to the slick and smooth designer hotel, The Armani Hotel Dubai, and the sky-top Atmosphere Bar that serves the most innovative cocktails around above a splendid view of the city below and the spectacular Dubai Fountains.

Weather

Situated on the Arabian Gulf in the western region of the United Arab Emirates, Dubai enjoys a warm, dry climate throughout the year with most days being cloudless and sunny. The dry winter months from October to April tend to see temperatures hover around 25 degrees celsius during the day with slightly cooler, balmy nights which tends to be perfect holidaying weather. December and January tend to be the wettest months, but the rain is heavy and not prolonged. The hot summer months from May to September bring hot weather with daytime temperatures averaging 35C and humidity reaching 95%, which is generally too uncomfortable for most visitors.

Some of the birds to look out for are hoopoes, flamingoes, bee-eaters, kingfishers, Indian Rollers and the booted warbler. One of the main hubs of these birds is the Safa Park, one of the must-see places during sightseeing in Dubai. As a result of urbanization and hunting, species like houbara bustard, striped hyena, caracal and the Arabian Oryx have become endangered in Dubai. However, stringent measures by the administration have helped in restoring of a few of these almost-extinct wildlife species.
