Only Exclusive Travel’s Luxury France Holidays

Bienvenue en France! Known as the origin of fine wines, integral grapes such as Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, and champagne, the vin offerings are renowned, and are served by sommeliers world-wide. The architecture and surroundings vary from place to place, from the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris, to plains of aromatic lavender in rural Provence, or the soothing sunshine of the Cote D’Azure. France has a magical je ne sais quoi in the air.

The land of croissants, crêpes and artisan patisseries prompts a swift ‘ooh la la’ from its visitors once they step off the plane on their luxury European holiday. If you like your beef rare, snails garlicky and cheeses gooey, France is the family holiday destination in Europe for you. There are other dining options however; as with any luxury holiday destination worth visiting, France caters to a variety of tastes. Quaint cafes underneath renaissance châteaux and villages make for the perfect spot for a romantic rendezvous before heading to the original beauty of Monet’s impressionist artwork. Contrary to what the stereotypes have led us to believe, French fashion doesn’t actually involve berets or stripes, but is up there amongst the most fashionable – especially in Paris, with its haute-couture boutiques lining the streets. Sacré bleu! France has so much to offer!

Our 5 Star Resorts France

Cote D’Azure
Cote D’Azure, literally translating to the ‘Azure Coast’, is also known as the French Riviera to the British. Stay at its most lavish resort, Cap Estel, located between Monaco and the largest city in the Riviera (Nice) for an elegant time away. Also home to the Cannes Film Festival, the Cote D’Azure is a cultural hub in the south of France, and is well worth a visit.

Provence
Experience true, unadulterated, rural French beauty in Provence. Gaze at row upon row of fragrant lavender which populates many a field, beside rustic farm buildings and surrounding views of the clustering villages. Wander among the herby plains, happen upon vineyards, friendly locals and rocky masses before strolling back to your luxury resort: Terre Blanche. Provence lives up to its name; it is, in a word, Provençal.

Paris
Ahhh, Paris. The capital of France... and romance. Home to world-renowned attractions such as the vibrant Moulin Rouge, Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame, Paris draws travellers from all regions, for all sorts of pursuits. Hosting Paris Fashion Week, Paris is at the forefront of modernity, whilst also retaining a loyalty to its roots. Visit the stately Le Bristol luxury resort,  with French Renaissance portraiture adorning the walls, decorative lines governing the style of the furnishings and a boudoir oozing with Parisian chic.

Weather

The climate in France varies with the region, with the north of the country having significantly cooler and wetter weather than the south, which usually celebrate glorious summers facilitating the most magnificent suntans. All areas of coastal south-east France have a typical Mediterranean climate - hot days in the summer, and mild, short winters. This is the region of France with the most days of sunshine each year, and a summer season that can extend from late April to October! Towards the north and north-east there is a 'continental' climate with winters frequently very cold or wet and summers that are unexpectedly hot and sunny.

Activities

France is a destination in Europe with a fantastic multiplexity of activities for you and your family to get involved in. Encased in the most beautiful countryside and climate, there is lots of wildlife to get acquainted with, many exclusive boutiques to visit and sports to win. From luxury golf courses in Provence, to fishing in Monaco and nightlife offerings to suit all sorts of tastes, France can entertain even the most discerning traveller.

Countryside & Wildlife

Countryside & Wildlife

France has a remarkable cultural and natural heritage: the huge and varied range of castles, fortified cities, parks, gardens and forests is exceptional, and extremely diverse. Most scenic of them all is Provence; with its authentic charm intact, and a reputation as the most beautiful region in France to uphold, Provence is proud to present its array of Van Gogh-inspiring natural splendour. The Black Redstart, Hoopoe, Wryneck, Nightingale, Nightjar, and Scops Owl create the perfect harmony of sunset tweets.

Trekking

Trekking

For its modest size, France has a large portion of exceptional landscapes, natural spaces perfect for travelling by foot, and paths crossing countrysides full of character. Hiking has logically become one of the premier sporting activities in France, which has allowed for the development of solid infrastructure and the certification of professionals in this sector. Whether beginners or old hands, trekkers here have the best tools available to equip and inform themselves.

Golf

Golf

With a rich and diversified natural environment, France offers very many courses along the country’s coastline, especially along the Mediterranean. Paris also has many great standard courses in the surrounding area, making for a great oasis away from your city pursuits. Terre Blanche Resort in Provence truly wins the award for stellar golfing facilities; their two award-winning golf courses blend flawlessly into the surrounding landscape and are simply sublime to gaze upon, let alone play on!

Shopping

Shopping

With the vast selection of small boutiques, huge department stores and popular markets, we wouldn’t blame you for feeling spoilt for choice. When you wander through one of the Paris markets, the city is reduced to the size of a village - no cars in the streets and people taking the time to talk to each other. They sell everything, but above all, you will find high quality fresh products, and a level of professionalism that is often handed down between generations. Let’s not forget the designer boutiques selling luxury accessories, designer handbags and gladrags for the discerning shopper.

Nightlife

Nightlife

France is filled with exciting places; there are a wide selection of bars, cafes and clubs throughout France. Visit the infamous Moulin Rouge for a night of gastronomical feasts and cabaret entertainment in Paris, wine-bars, jazz-clubs, large commercial nightclubs and quaint, bohemian social hubs for a more authentic experience. In Provence, although largely rural, you can have a wild night out or a more cultured experience; the warm climate forces people out onto their terraces at night creating the perfect ambience for evening socialising.

Beaches

Beaches

France is a paradise for beach lovers. Saint Tropez in the South of France is practically a sun-worshipper’s Mecca. Hop over a few miles and reach the fabulous beaches of Monaco and Nice in the French Riviera and enjoy scorching summer sunshine on the golden stretches of beach.

Landmarks

Landmarks

Paris is renowned for its landmarks. Many tourists flock to tourist attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, Moulin Rouge, Notre Dame and other extremely well-known locations. The Sainte-Chappell is a beautiful medieval chapel, and one of many unique landmarks to visit in the world.
