Only Exclusive Travel’s Luxury St Lucia Holidays in the Caribbean

If you’re prone to romantically dreaming of a far away land of palm-fringed beaches, elegant old plantation houses, soft tropical air, hypnotic steel band music, and tantalising aromas of fruity and spicy cuisine, we have some great news for you: the place of your dreams is real, and it’s called St Lucia.

The island exudes exhilaration. Your senses will instantly gauge the uniqueness of this Caribbean holiday destination. St Lucia, the most mountainous island in the Caribbean, is flowing with spouting waterfalls, vivid coral reefs, verdant botanical gardens and plantations, and the sulphur springs at Soufrière. The Pitons, two foliate, emerald mountains protruding off the main land, are iconic beacons of natural stature and can be clambered upon for a ramble and a magnificent view of the stunning, rain-forested island beneath. Although the chances of an eruption from the island’s active volcano is extremely slim, the land is still filled with volcanicity; live and kicking activities on the island include the eagerly anticipated St Lucia Jazz Festival and carnivals filled with Calypso, Soca, Dancehall, Reggae, Compas, Zouk and Salsa dancing.

The most scrumptious of the luxury five star resorts in St Lucia is the aptly named Sugar Beach hotel. Each of the rooms here showcase stunning views of the Pitons or the Caribbean Sea, and will situate its guests in the utmost of lavish surroundings and amenities. Have the local fare on your doorstep, and try St Lucia's national dish (green banana and saltfish), chicken with rice and peas or other dishes containing fragrant coconut milk or daring scotch bonnet peppers. Visit the land whose motto is “The Land, The People, The Light”, a place where the three of the best assets are the gorgeous terrain, the smiley locals and the warming sunshine. Visit St Lucia.

Weather

As is the case with many Caribbean islands, St. Lucia's visitors should expect hot and humid weather conditions all year round due to the island's proximity to the equator. Fortunately, visitors will rarely feel uncomfortable as mild trade winds bring cool breezes off the water that offer some respite from the heat. Humidity on the island averages between 70 and 90 percent throughout the year; due to its location near the equator, St. Lucia does not have very well defined seasons. There is, however, a rainy season that generally falls between June and November. During this season, visitors should be prepared for heavy, but sporadic showers that come on quickly. Visitors should not worry about traveling during the rainy season as the showers may come about rapidly, but blue skies are quick to follow.
